Tina Lu

Tina Lu Editor-in-ChiefHey guys! I’m Tina, the editor-in-chief of Project GirlSpire. I’m currently a full-time student, but when I’m not studying, I like to read, watch Netflix, and eat food. Nothing excites me more than traveling – one day, I hope to visit every single country in the world.

Sang Kromah

Screen Shot 2016-01-13 at 3.41.33 AMSang is an International Communications Specialist and the Executive Director of Resources and Outreach for Liberia (ROL), and Founder of Project GirlSpire. She’s a real-life superhero (DC-style, not Marvel). Her superpower? Writing books  for teens and advocating to empower girls globally and to get them reading. She’s also a TV-obsessed bibliophile, but more importantly Moh’s big sister!

Chloe Tai

Hello!  I’m Chloe, one of the #FeministFight writers for Project GirlSpire.   Most of the time I’m stuck in school daydreaming or imagining. In my free time, I like to write, read, and listen to music. I have always been surrounded by the New York City vibe and hope to one day live there.

“The city seen from the Queensboro Bridge is always the city seen for the first time, in its first wild promise of all the mystery and the beauty in the world.”
― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

Lydia Chen

Hi everyone! I’m Lydia, one of the writers for Girls Around the World, and I am super excited to be a part of Project Girlspire. I’m currently a student, but my outside interests include music, traveling, and cooking. I’m also an animal-lover with a not-so-secret obsession with books.

Anne Jorgenson

Hi there! I’m Anne, I’m a full-time journalism student and one of the writers for Girls in Pop Culture. I’m a pun-loving, reading-obsessed, sarcastic girl from Seattle that hopes to learn as much as I can and travel as much as possible in my lifetime.

Marissa Eller

Hi! I’m Marissa, a Pop Culture Blogger for GirlSpire. I’m a stuffed animal lover with a passion for reading, writing and watching TV. Words are my favorite things about the world and their power inspires me every day.

Nicole Artime

Hello! My name is Nicole and I write under the Just For Fun category of Project GirlSpire. I’m a junior in high school but when I’m not attending class I love blogging, concerts, online shopping, and making music playlists.

Gillian Singer

Hi! My name is Gillian and I am a full-time student with a passion for advocacy and feminism, which makes me the perfect writer for Girls Around the World. I have a huge case of the travel bug. I love a good romantic comedy, I’m a hot chocolate connoisseur, and I could eat only Chipotle for the rest of my life and be totally content.

Joy Xie

Hi! I’m Joy, a writer for the Celebrities Who Care category of Project GirlSpire. In my free time, I love painting anything and everything as well as watching korean dramas. But the one thing that always cheers me up is another adventure in worlds created by amazing writers.

Sheereen Charles

Hey everybody! I’m Sheereen, a student working toward a bachelors in Fashion and Retail Management with an associates in Business.  Sticking to my roots, I’m a Ur Beauty blogger for Project GirlSpire. In my free time, I love to shop, read, eat and shop some more. In the future, I hope to pursue a career as a Fashion Buyer and eventually open my own retail company.

Ethan Poe

Hi everyone! I’m Ethan Poe, the Social Media Manager and a writer for Girl Professionals.  I’m a recent university graduate who, when not working, is usually exploring feminist art or just relaxing with Netflix (or a good record).

Jamara Wakefield

Hi everyone! I’m Jamara, a performance poet who lives in Brooklyn and a Ur Beauty writer for Project GirlSpire. I am a lover of equal rights, good conversation, big hair, big hats and cupcakes.  I live my black girl magic everyday, and I’m ready to change the world.

I am the founder of, a new and non-commercial resource site for middle school girls. Our Advisory Board is made up entirely of middle and high school-age girls, and one of them (a sophomore in high school) is interested in writing a few short pieces for GirlSpire about health and beauty from the current teen perspective. I’m writing to inquire whether you would welcome a few sample pieces from her, in the hope that one might be posted on your site?

Please let me know your thoughts and any parameters that must be followed?

    Thanks so much,

    Illana Raia
