Country Music Television and Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Jennifer Nettles will hit the road in January for the “CMT Presents Jennifer Nettles with 2016 Next Women of Country Tour,” booked for over 30 dates across the United States and Canada, beginning in January.

The tour is an extension of CMT’s “Next Women of Country” campaign, an effort that seeks to give more attention and airplay to female country artists. CMT launched its “Next Women” campaign in 2013 to emphasize undiscovered emerging female country artists. In 2015, CMT expanded the campaign to include its first-ever female-powered tour.

“I always take any opportunity to champion women in music and throughout society at large.” —Jennifer Nettles, country singer

“I am absolutely energized to headline this year’s ‘CMT Next Women of Country’ tour and celebrate these exciting artists on the precipice of so much greatness,” Nettles said. Some concert’s performers represent major label, indie and unsigned rising artists who receive support from CMT in exposing them to fans and getting their music heard.
